Since 1958, children with type 1 diabetes and their families have turned to Camp Nejeda for education, empowerment, fun and support in a safe environment. Camp Nejeda's child-friendly setting encourages hands-on learning so that kids can practice new skills and learn how diabetes works in their bodies. An onsite team of nurses, doctors and dieticians serve as coaches to keep campers safe, field questions, raise questions and generally involve campers in understanding the role of diet, exercise and insulin in their day-to-day lives. Our counselors, who are mostly Nejeda alumni, serve as positive role models. In total, the educational and empowering Camp Nejeda experience substantially improves the quality of our campers' health and outlook. Philanthropic support makes it all possible and also helps to provide "campership" support for families with the greatest financial need.
The purchase of these pendant necklaces is a Symbol of Support for Camp Nejeda and for all people with Type 1 Diabetes. $20 from each purchase goes directly to Camp Nejeda.
Thank you in advance for your support.
